About your
Coaches..........

Coach Terri:
It
has always been my passion to dance and open up my own dance studio. I
have been dancing since the age of 3yrs old. I began cheering at the
age of 11yrs in what they called Junior High School in the 80’s. I was
the choreographer and captain for three years. Later to go to high
school and duplicated the same responsibilities and competed within the
BIG 8 Division. I enjoyed cheering and dancing so much I decided to take
it to the next level in college. I made it through the 3rd
cuts and cheered for the IOWA STATE CYCLONES for 2yrs in our football
and basketball seasons. It was an awesome experience and my technique
and skills resulted from my double degree in modern dance and exercise
physiology. Today, I have a mini “me”, her name is Kenzi and she has
been cheering with the Chargers since the age of 5 under the direction
of Coach Christie whom I have now experienced 4yrs. I watched as a
parent for 2yrs and now in my second year assistant coaching with Coach
Christie. Am I nuts?
J
It is truly a commitment and a joy to coach, mentor, and lead by
example to these young ladies. I am an advocate of success, a positive
attitude, and empowerment and that is why I have committed myself to
assist coach again this year with Coach Christie, she is truly dancing
in her passion. Once I get my dance studio, I will be dancing in my
passion and enjoying having the Charger Cheerleaders taking classes for
strength and conditioning and practices; right Coach Christie? SUPERIOR
GRAND CHAMPIONS 2009! GO CHARGERS!!!!

Coach Rae
I I was born just
outside of Boston, MA but moved here when I was a year old. I grew up in
North Miami Beach. I took ballet, tap, and jazz for about 8 years. I
love the stage. I cheered in elementary school. You know, the old stomp
your feet and clap your hands cheering? A far cry from Coral Springs
cheerleading! My daughter, Megan, has a passion for singing and acting.
She loves soccer, cheer and gymnastics. She cheered for two years for
the Coral Springs Flag Football Club and then moved to the Chargers
Tackle Football Cheering. This is her 3rd year with the
Chargers and my 2nd year as a coach for cheer. I have coached
soccer for 4 years. I have three passions in life: My kids,
mentoring/coaching, and education. I enjoy watching our youth learn and
develop their capabilities. But more importantly, having fun! You got
to have fun! Mentoring also helps me personally in developing my
listening skills, patience, and effective communication. I have a
Bachelors Degree in Pre-Law with a minor in Psychology. I received my
masters, MBA, with a specialization in Leadership. I am currently
working on my Doctorate in Higher Education. I have worked at Nova
Southeastern University now for 10 years and again, enjoy mentoring the
students and being a leader for my colleagues. I just love my job. It is
truly a wonderful feeling to know that you can have a positive impact on
a student’s life. You will see my handsome son, Colin, at the field. He
loves baseball. He can throw and hit either right or left handed. My
wonderful husband, Nolan, says he could be a switch hitter or pitcher.
Nolan and I have another boy due in early December. The kids are
ecstatic. As a hobby, Nolan and I play amateur pool in the Broward APA
8-ball pool league every Tuesday night. We have had our own team for
about 15 years now. We are pretty good as we won the South Florida
Regional finals in 1998 and went to Nationals in Las Vegas! The Coral
Springs Charger Cheerleaders, coaching staff and administrative staff
have worked hard for their wonderful reputation. It is an honor to coach
these girls and be a part of the CSTFC. I admire their dedication and
teamwork to the sport. What makes our girls special? Chargers know how
to have fun while reaching for the stars- Superior Grand Champs!

unlimited team my eighth grade year and started coaching my freshman
